TPS Technology Award
The Purpose of the TPS Technology Award is to honor individuals or collectives demonstrating outstanding contributions to the advancement of domestic photonics technology.
Awarding Criteria
Up to three awards (which may not all be awarded) will be granted annually, presented with a commemorative medal during the annual conference. The outstanding achievements of the awardees will be publicly announced in the TPS Optical Engineering Journal.
Eligibility for Application
- The member of this association.
- The recommended projects must meet the following criteria (A) or (B):
(A) Innovative concepts with a significant technological level.
(B) Utilization of the technological outcomes with successful commercialization in the market. Projects must meet international standards and contribute to elevating the technological status domestically. Projects with high practicality and anticipated substantial market sales in the future.
Registration and Recommendation Procedure
- One Application form and one recommendation letter
All the aforementioned document should be sent in hard copy to the TPS Taipei Office, and also provide an E-doc via Email. *

Submission Deadline
The deadline is August 31st, 2023, postmarked.
Evaluation Process
- Board of Reviewers: The Board of Directors of the Society nominates one Chairman, who then invites between 4 to 10 members to form the reviewing panel. Members of the review panel are eligible for reappointment. If the review panel has fewer than 4 members, additional experts may be invited to participate in the process.
- Review Procedure: The review panel conducts the evaluation process. They may invite contributors of technological advancements to provide brief presentations during the panel meetings. Following data compilation, the Chairman of the review panel makes the final decision on the selection results. These results may be shared with all review panel members for review. Ultimately, the list may be submitted for approval within the scheduled The Board of Directors Meeting.

Implementation Method
These regulations shall be implemented after being approved by the Board of Governors and Supervisors of the Society and shall be amended in the same manner.
