TPS congratulates Professor Chi-Lung Lin on being honored with the " 2023 Outstanding Engineering Professor Award" by the Chinese Institute of Engineer (CIE) !
Professor Chi-Lung Lin, a distinguished professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, along with Professor Wei-Cheng Lo from the Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering and Professor Yu-Lung Lo, a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, have been honored with the prestigious "112th Outstanding Engineering Professor Award" by Taiwan's largest and oldest engineering association, the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE). The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on September 15 as part of the "CIE Joint Annual Conference of Various Engineering Societies for the Year 112."
Professor Chi-Lung Lin, presently serving as the department head of Electrical Engineering at NCKU, has devoted 19 years to teaching at the university. He has supervised 70 master's and 24 doctoral students, achieving remarkable success in national paper and competition awards, totaling 30 national paper awards and 30 competition awards.
His scholarly contributions over the past five years have primarily focused on the development of innovative display technology systems, bio-medical development and integration, and research related to tracking algorithms and system design. As a lead or corresponding author, he has published 23 papers in top international journals such as the IEEE Journal, 49 conference papers, and acquired 140 patents both domestically and internationally.
Professor Lin has received numerous accolades in recent years, including recognition such as the IET Fellowship, Zhongshan Academic Publication Award, Macronix Golden Silicon Advisor Award, Ministry of Science and Technology Outstanding Research Award, Li Kwoh-Ting Lecture Series Gold Award in Science and Humanities, Yu-Ziang Hsu Technology Invention Award, Yu-Ziang Hsu Technology Future Technology Award, Yu-Ziang Hsu Technology Paper Award, and the Engineering Professor Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE).
